It's
the most wonderful time of the year. Cold weather has set in as the anticipation
of the upcoming Thanksgiving and Christmas Holidays approach. The stores are
decorated for Christmas, families are discussing plans for getting together, and
Lincoln Chapel is getting ready for their annual Holiday Bazaar.
The Senior Ministry has been active over the past
several months making items to sell. Thoughts of the homemade pies and cakes,
cookies and candies are becoming reality as members think of those famous Sugar
Cookies we buy every year. Wooden items made by the crafty men of the church
have everyone trying to figure out where they could use them in their homes. The
tree ornaments adorning the live Christmas tree catch people's attention as they
stroll down the stairs bringing their wares. Outside vendors have arrived to set
up their items they have for sale.
As the morning dawns, the volunteers arrive early to
start the coffee and make sure the last minute preparations have been done. The
anticipation of the Bazaar has filled the air with excitement. Christmas is
around the corner by the looks of the day. Christmas music fills the air, people
are laughing and enjoying the bright decorations of red and green. Ah,
Christmas...it's the most wonderful time of the year....
