Mother/Daughter Banquet a Huge
Success
It is truly amazing to see our church social hall
transformed from Sunday School classes to an Italian restaurant, a Hawaiian hut,
or an exclusive catered diner. Recently our church was once again
transformed into a wonderfully elegant ‘restaurant’. One of Lincoln
Chapel’s famous chefs, John Benfer, worked with a group of men to host this
year’s Mother/Daughter Banquet.
Mothers, grandmothers, daughters, nieces, cousins,
aunts, and friends filled the room as 6:00 p.m. arrived. Over 60 women
were treated to a meal served by Bill Kahl, Ned Weaver, Paul Matrey, Pastor Jon,
Don Long, Luke Snare, Noah Snare, Benjamin West, and John Benfer. Conversations
drifted through the room as the men catered to the needs of their guests,
ensuring they were enjoying this special evening.
Soon after the meal was served, the women were given
the opportunity to retreat to the sanctuary so they may be entertained by a
special guest, Daryl Willow. Accompanying Daryl was his six-year-old son,
Isaac who had guitar in hand. to the delight of the audience, Isaac began
playing his guitar and, at one point in the evening, performed a solo on his
harmonica.
A big thanks to those who organized this year’s
Mother/Daughter Banquet! Everyone had a wonderful time!
