Snickerdoodles

1 cup shortening
2 eggs
2 teaspoons cream of tartar
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 3/4 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
Mix shortening, sugar, and eggs thoroughly. In a separate bowl, mix flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt. Cut mixtures together, roll into small balls, and roll in the following mixture: 2 tablespoons sugar, 2 teaspoons cinnamon. Place on sheet. Bake at 400f for 8 to 10 minutes or until lightly browned.
