Sour Milk Sugar Cookies

2 cups sugar
1 cup brown sugar
1 1/2 cups butter flavored Crisco
5 eggs
6 cups flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
4 teaspoons baking powder
1 1/2 cups milk
2 teaspoons vinegar
2 teaspoons vanilla

Cream sugar, brown sugar, and Crisco together.  Add eggs and beat well.  Sift flour, salt, baking soda, and baking powder together.  Mix milk, vinegar, and vanilla together.  Add liquid and dry ingredients alternately to sugar mixture, mixing well after each addition.  Drop by rounded tablespoons onto greased cookie sheet and bake 10 minutes at 350f.  Optional – Sprinkle with sugar before baking.  Makes 7 dozen 3 inch cookies.
