Drop Sand Tarts

1/2 pound butter
1 cup sugar
1 egg
1 3/4 cups flour
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 teaspoon baking powder

cream sugar and butter.  Add egg and vanilla.  Add flour with baking powder mixed in.  drop by teaspoon on cookie sheet.  Bake at 350f for approximately 10 minutes.  Makes 6 dozen cookies.
