Double Chocolate Chip Cookies

1 3/4 cups all purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
2 sticks, 1 cup, butter, softened
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup packed dark brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 large egg
1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa
2 tablespoons milk
1 cup chopped walnuts
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 350f.  In a small bowl, combine flour and baking soda.  In a large bowl, cream together until fluffy:  butter, sugars and vanilla.  Whisk in egg.  Stir in cocoa and milk.  Fold in flour mixture, walnut and chocolate chips.  Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto nonstick baking sheets.  Bake about 12 minutes.  Cool about 5 minutes before removing cookies from sheets.  Makes about 3 dozen cookies.
