Raisin Filled Cookies

1 cup oleo

2 eggs

2 cups brown sugar

4 cups flour

1 cup milk (sour and add 1 teaspoon baking soda

1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla

Filling:

2 cups raisins

2 tablespoons lemon juice

1 cup water

3/4 teaspoon cinnamon

1 cup brown sugar

2 tablespoons cornstarch or flour
 

Cream butter and sugar.  Add eggs, and vanilla.  Mix flour and salt.  Add alternately with milk.  Make into ball, wrap tightly and refrigerate 30 minutes or more.  Cook filling ingredients until thickened.  Cool.  Roll out dough on floured surface.  Cut out.  Fill with ½ to 1 teaspoon raisin filling as desired.  Top with matching dough.  Bake at 350f for 10 to 12 minutes.
