Who Am I?
I am from the New
Testament and I would like to share my story with you. I was chosen to become a
disciple during a time when the number of disciples was growing rapidly. I am
full of God’s grace and power and do great wonders and miraculous signs among
the people. Members of the Synagogue of the Freedmen – Jews of Cyrene and
Alexandria
– opposed me. They tried to argue with me but couldn’t stand up against me. So
they decided to stir up the people and the elders and the teachers of the law by
spreading lies about me. I was seized and brought before the Sanhedrin where
people produced false witness against me.
The high priest asked
me if these charges were true and I answered with a great witness about Moses.
The people were furious with me when they heard this. And then, because I was
full of the Holy Spirit, I looked up to heaven and saw the glory of God and
Jesus standing at the right hand of God. I told them what I saw but they
covered their ears because they didn’t want to hear it. They yelled at the top
of their voices then rushed me, dragging me out of the city. After I was drug
out of the city, I was killed.
Now that you know a
little about me, do you know who I am?
